Published a Japanese translation report on "What are Innovation District?"

Smart City Institute Japan (SCI-Japan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Global Institute on Innovation Districts (GIID) in February 2025 with the aim of building a well-being community through the improvement and promotion of awareness of the innovation districts. GIID is a global research institute founded in 2018 specializing in Innovation Districts research.

SCI-Japan and GIID have recently translated into Japanese the report "What are Innovation Districts?" authored by GIID. In the Innovation Districts, entrepreneurs, cutting-edge research institutions, universities and companies promote research and development and advanced knowledge-intensive activities. Representative examples are Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts led by MIT and 22@ Barcelona. More than 150 innovation districts worldwide have been identified in various stages of development.
